Title:  Dentin Hypersensitivity - New Management Approaches
Course Description:
Dentin hypersensitivity continues to be a problem for patients and practitioners alike.
The increase in erosion, patient aging and recessions, and periodontal disease all have resulted
in an increased occurrence of dentin hypersensitivity. Correct diagnosis and effective treatment

Speaker:  Patti DiGangi
Title:  Having Moments With Seniors
Sponsored by:   Proctor & Gamble
Course Description:
Ask a baby boomer the definition of a senior? Their response is ‘older than me.’ We are in a new era.
Oral health conditions likely to be associated with the boomer or new elderly are apt to be complicated by a
lifetime of wear and tear yet often less complicated than the oldest elderly who age 80+ and the fastest growing population group in the U.S. Clearly the elderly are not one uniform group. The boomer elderly expect to maintain
their dentition and continue to receive regular oral health care after they retire as they did through their
work-based-dental insurance programs. In contrast, the oldest elderly are more likely to frequent the dentist
with the support of a family member when there is a problem with a denture or difficulty eating.
Dental professionals need to shift their thinking to serve these changing demographics.
